What is NC WISE?

The North Carolina Window of Information on Student Education NC WISE is a statewide information management and reporting system that will provide teachers, principals, counselors, nurses, central office staff and others with immediate access to data on students in currently participating North Carolina school systems. NC WISE supports accountability management for federal and state reporting requirements associated with No Child Left Behind and the ABCs Accountability program as well as acting as an electronic grade book.. NC WISE is an electronic student information system that is based on eSIS, a web-based software package that provides student and school information management capabilities. Users may see variations and differences in spelling and terminology such as "neighbour for neighbor" and "marks for grades." Users should be aware these differences exist because the software was developed by a Canadian company, Administrative Assistants Limited (AAL) and is used in both Canada and United States
